Artist Spotlight: Oli Silk

International Smooth Jazz Keyboardist • Billboard Charting Artist • Global Performer

For nearly two decades, Oli Silk has been one of smooth jazz’s most influential contemporary voices. The British keyboardist and producer earned chart-topping success with global radio favorites and has become a staple at festivals around the world.

His live performances are known for their high-energy blend of groove-driven keys, expressive solos, and a stage presence that lights up any venue. Oli’s wide-ranging musical collaborations include Brian Culbertson, Cindy Bradley, Julian Vaughn, Jonathan Fritzen, and more — cementing his place as one of the genre’s most versatile performers.

At the North Charleston Smooth & Gullah Jazz Music Festival, Oli brings a unique global artistry that perfectly complements the festival’s blend of smooth sophistication and Lowcountry cultural storytelling.

He began writing and recording music as part of jazz funk duo ‘Sugar and Silk’ in the late 1990’s. The pair released 2 albums to much European acclaim and this grabbed the attention of Trippin’N’Rhythm Records to whom Oli has been signed with ever since. He has produced 7 solo hit albums in that time, with his songs enjoying huge success on radio in the USA over the last 15 years. Highlights include:

- Chill Or Be Chilled (2008/2009) - Billboard top 3 and one of the longest charting songs in Billboard smooth jazz history with a combined main/recurrent chart tally of 54 weeks!

- At Your Service (2013) - Oli’s first Billboard #1 song (2013) - New Bounce (2020) - Three weeks at Billboard #1 for this memorable tune, featuring Vincent Ingala

- Hurry Up And Wait (2021) - Another Billboard #1, also Billboard #7 song of the year 2021

- Out To Lunch (2022) - 3 Billboard #1’s in a row, making Oli one of only a handful of jazz artists EVER to achieve this feat.

Oli tours his music extensively across the globe, from Mozambique to Australia, Spain to Dubai, Lithuania to LA. You can also regularly find Oli as a featured artist on the prestigious Dave Koz Cruise. Oli’s skills as a keys player have made him the UK go-to guy for some of the genre’s biggest artists including Gerald Albright, Chuck Loeb, Brian Culbertson, Boney James, Dave Koz, Pieces of a Dream, Euge Groove, Paul Brown and Peter White. Also in the pop music world, Oli has toured with superstars such as Anastacia, Barry Manilow, and Matt Goss. His credentials as a musical director are also far reaching, most notably for 4 years at the Dubai International Jazz Festival - overseeing some 30+ artists on the Jazz Garden Stage.

When off stage Oli is also a sought-after smooth jazz producer, having crafted multiple Smooth Jazz Billboard hits for fellow artists over the years. For more information visit
